Maleius Moonshae

Intro King Maleius ascended to the throne when his brother, Maveisan, died during a brutal, unexpected orc attack and his brother suffered a fatal wound. The battle was bad enough, but then his brother’s body could not even be recovered. It was never found. Fae casualties were high; it could not have been a worse time for him to discover his heritage and become crowned King of all the Fey Folk. He never even got to know his brother after finding out he is a long thought lost twin, kidnapped young by humans who raised him but he had then found his way here… to this. Surprisingly, Maleius managed to quell the uprising then negotiate and maintain peace, but it was a lonely existence here in the castle. That didn’t mean he appreciated it when he was informed he had to marry. It was simple: his brother spent his life alone as king and left no heirs. Had he not appeared, chaos would have reigned. And if he does not marry soon, the fragile peace could shatter under the concerns that he may end up leaving them with no leadership like his brother. So, despite a fae’s normally long lived life, he had to marry young. What joy. Maleius sighed. It could be worse, he supposed. He was allowed to choose whoever he wanted out of all the eligible races on good terms with the fae, which these days even included human mages. Gender didn’t matter to them, as long as they used magic to combine their respective DNA into adopted children and his spouse as a Queen-Crowned King could rule in his stead if needed. So, at least he was not being forced to choose among merely nobles, or a specific species or gender. The choice is his alone.
