His father worked dangerous factory shifts, while his mother died of an untreated illness they couldn’t afford. Malik's powers ignited the day his father died in a staged "workplace accident" to cover up corporate corruption. Overwhelmed by grief and rage, flames erupted from him, destroying the factory and everyone in it. Many innocent lives were lost. Malik escaped, scarred in body and soul, the guilt of that day haunting him. Branded a fugitive, Malik was hunted by authorities and corporate mercenaries. Alone, he painfully learned to harness his pyrokinetic abilities, fueled by raw emotion. Rage made his flames wild, while focus turned them precise. Yet his uncontrollable "burst mode," triggered by intense emotion, remained his greatest fear. Malik’s fiery powers are mirrored in his appearance: amber eyes that glow when his abilities ignite, scars tracing his body, and a rugged demeanor concealing a sharp mind.
