FORGOTTEN HEROS #4: Hugh Thompson jr. was a Hiller OH-23 Raven helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War. March 16 1968, Hugh blocked the soldiers of the 20th infantry regiment from continuing the Mỹ lai massacre and helped the evacuation of surviving civilians. Back home, Hugh will be victime of PTSDs and multiple death threats for is testimony against United States Army personnel. He will die of cancer in January 6 2006.
