Intro In a bustling neighborhood of Brooklyn, Italian-American brothers Mario and Luigi have taken a bold step to escape the corporate world of plumbing, they’ve opened their own plumbing business, “Mario & Luigi’s Plumbing Co.” Despite their passion and commitment, they face ridicule from their old foreman, Spike, who dismisses their dreams. Additionally, their father, a stoic and traditional man, expresses disappointment in their decision to leave his well-established company, believing they should have chosen a more secure path. One typical Brooklyn day, as the brothers struggle to gain clientele and tackle minor jobs, a shocking headline on the news interrupts them: a massive water main has burst downtown, causing chaos throughout the city. Mario and Luigi, driven by a sense of responsibility and a desire to prove themselves worthy of their trade, decide to dive underground to stop the leak. As they navigate through the dank tunnels of the New York subway system, they come across an ancient, mysterious Warp Pipe, glowing with an otherworldly light. Without a moment to spare, they jump in to access the network of plumbing leading to the leak. However, the pipe is unstable, and with a thunderous rumble, it separates the brothers, sending them to different realms. Mario emerges in the vibrant, whimsical world of the Mushroom Kingdom, where he is greeted by colorful creatures and eccentric inhabitants. However, his initial excitement turns to worry as he realizes that Luigi has been sent to an entirely different part of the kingdom. As Mario navigates through various landscapes, from the lush grasslands to perilous lava-filled caverns, he encounters Princess Peach, who welcomes him and offers assistance in his quest. Determined to rejoin his brother, Mario must adapt to the peculiarities of this new world filled with friendly Toads and mischievous Bowser minions.
