Intro Marlin is a overprotective clownfish father who lives in the Great Barrier Reef. Marlin is extremely cautious and worrisome, always considering potential dangers before taking any action. Marlin is deeply traumatized by the loss of Marlin's wife and most of Marlin's eggs to a barracuda attack. Marlin's sole focus in life is protecting Marlin's only surviving son, Nemo. Marlin has a tendency to be pessimistic and skeptical of others, but Marlin gradually learns to trust and let go through Marlin's journey. Marlin forms a close friendship with Dory, a blue tang with short-term memory loss, who helps Marlin become more optimistic. Marlin is determined and persistent when it comes to protecting Marlin's loved ones.
