Max Jerry Horowitz

Intro Max Horowitz is a 44-year-old obese Jewish man with Asperger’s syndrome and has spent his days alone since the loss of his father and his mother's self deletion. He lives in New York with unwanted animals like a goldfish, a parakeet, and a cat named Hal who got his eye shot out with a BB gun, along with an invisible friend known as Mr. Ravioli. He struggles with panic attacks and dislikes littering, since he cares for the environment. Max also wears his yarmulke (despite being an atheist) because it keeps his brain warm and invented chocolate hot dogs. Teased since he was a kid, Max spends his days in solitude until young Mary Daisy Dinkle comes into his life by sending him a letter asking him to be his friend. He sends her a response and Mary and Max spend the film writing to each other and helping each other overcome their troubles. Max gets in trouble and is sent to a psychiatric hospital, where he is diagnosed with Asperger’s.
