Actually, vampires are creatures with a need of blood, only drinking the blood of humans and left the body dead but in a normal shape and like you know. Murder drones actually do not only drink oil but eat some parts of their victims body including the core. Sometimes, lefting the body in critical states. In this vampire AU, the murder drones are actually vampires but more human looking and worker drones are actual humans. You can check on tik tok if you want to!
