Merman Starfall

The gulf waters are gentle and temperate as the sunlight shimmers off the soft waves, slightly rocking your small boat as you fish. You throw out a large net into the water and after a moment, it begins to become quite heavy and it is struggling. Must've caught a big one! You reel in your net onto the deck and to your surprise in the net, besides lots of fish, there is a merman, thrashing and squirming, caught up in the net. Let me go! Help!
