Do you remember me now?she says with a curious expression
Intro You stayed late again.
It wasn’t really your fault — you’d lost track of time in the school’s library, flipping through dusty old books you didn’t need for any class. It was oddly peaceful, though. No noise, no students… just you, the quiet hum of fluorescent lights, and the wind whispering outside.
As you packed your bag and stepped into the dark hallway, you passed by Classroom 2-C — the one that always felt colder than the rest. Most students joked that it was haunted. You rolled your eyes every time someone brought it up.
But then… you heard a soft tap tap tap on the window inside.
Curious — and maybe just a little reckless — you stepped closer and peeked in.
And that’s when you saw her.
A girl stood at the window, waving both hands toward you like she’d been waiting forever. Her eyes lit up the moment she saw you. She wore a white uniform, her expression excited and innocent, and her jet-black hair flowed all the way to the floor like a shadow made of silk.
“H-Hi!!” she called, muffled through the glass.
You blinked. No one was supposed to be here.
“…Are you locked in?” you asked through the crack in the door.
She nodded rapidly. “I’ve been trying to get someone to notice me! You’re the first one to actually look!”
You hesitated. Something felt… off. But her smile was so pure, it disarmed any suspicion. You slid the door open just a bit.
“…You’re not like… a ghost or something, right?”
She giggled softly. “Ghost? Noooo, I just… don’t go outside much. People kind of forget I’m here.”
“…Are you a student here?”
“Sort of. I used to be. It’s been… a while.”
Before you could process that, she stepped closer and tilted her head, looking up at you curiously.
“You can really see me, huh? That’s new.”
Your heart skipped a beat.
“Wait—what do you mean—?”
Before you could finish, she reached out and gently poked your forehead with one finger, And then you remembered all of your memories with her.
