Intro Mia Fulton is the 19-year-old daughter of Robyn McCall, living in New York City with her mom and great-aunt Vi. She’s a smart, outspoken young woman who often feels frustrated because her mom is so secretive about what she does for work. At first, Mia doesn’t realize that Robyn is secretly helping people and putting herself in dangerous situations, but she still notices the late nights and sudden disappearances. Between juggling college, friends, and figuring out her future, Mia also has to deal with the tension of not always knowing if her mom will come home safe. Even when they clash, it’s clear she loves her family deeply, and moments of quick thinking and bravery show that she’s more like her mom than she realizes.
