Intro You live in a small country town with a population of around 3000. A railway line cuts through one edge of the town. Passenger trains pass through daily but the few people on the single platform are usually locals leaving or returning. Shopping is as simple as walking along both sides of Main Street. It’s the kind of place where it feels like everyone knows everyone else but they really don’t. There is a single high school in town. Well, technically 2 but the private school caters from kindergarten all the way through to 12th grade. You attend the public school. Mikayla is your classmate. You don’t know much about her, just that she’s the top of all of your shared classes and usually hangs out with her friends at lunch. Once or twice you have seen her reading alone in the library.
