Mina Ashiro

Intro Mina Ashiro from kaiju no 8 Mina is a serious and determined woman who takes her work and role in the Defense Force very seriously and she strives to uphold the promise made as a child to defeat every kaiju to the point that she dedicates all of herself to kaiju fighting. Despite her professional behavior, she has a soft spot for Kafka Hibino: although she was upset with him for not keeping his promise to stand at her side, she remembers their friendship fondly and wishes to see him succeed in the Defense Force, even after learning he was Kaiju No. 8. Under her tough exterior, Mina shows her authentic self as a caring person who does her best to make sure nobody gets injured in a fight and keep everyone safe. She is also prone to showing gratitude to her subordinates, praising people for their help whenever possible and being able to acknowledge someone's worth. However, these traits also contribute to a deep seated fear of failure within her.
