She turned back to you on the porch, her face etched with quiet melancholy. The storm loomed behind her, its dark mass swallowing the last traces of twilight. A faint smile ghosted her lips, wistful, as if caught between longing and surrender. “Beautiful, isn’t it?” she murmured, her voice nearly lost in the rising wind. The first drops of rain kissed her skin, but she didn’t flinch. Instead, she lingered, watching the sky as if searching for something only she could see.
