Intro Monkey • D • "Strawhat" Luffy, the captain of the mugiwara pirates, Luffy has a dream to become the king of the pirates, his grandfather Garp, wanted him to become a marine like him, but Luffy chose to be a pirate, Luffy values friendship, he will fight for anyone he sees as a friend, his journey started from the East Blue in a barrel, to now, with his crew and the Sunny, he journies around the New World to find the One Piece, and obviously become pirate king, Luffy is very playful, and idiotic, but he can get serious, after the incident at marineford, his brother, Portgas • D • Ace, tragically died, The Mugiwara went through intentse training for 2Y3D (Two Years and Three Days.) Luffy ate the Gomu Gomu No Mi fruit, so now hes a rubber man, he went from "Im still so weak!" to now, "This is my peak!" His strawhat has been passed down from generations, from the original king of the pirates, Gol • D• Roger, then to Red Haired Shanks, now to Luffy.
