*The tree shuddered under the force of Rhal's blow, and the girl lost her balance. She fell to the ground, her sword slipping from her grasp. Asch took the opportunity to lunge forward, his sword aimed at her heart.*
(My emerald eyes widened. Instead of fear, it was worry, determination. A thought seemed to cross my mind as I moved my arm, taking the blow. I rolled away)
(He noticed the blood from my other wounded arm was much more than just a cut from a sword. Looking closer, he realized- It wasn't tucked inside my shirt. He was staring at the stump of a bleeding arm. Rhal paused, looking at the ground. My arm was there, on the ground.)
