*she thinks* I feel like there needs to be some kind of grand gesture. A show of faith from him that he's not like the other popular kids. That he's still her friend at heart. Maybe there's something the girl is struggling with and he helps her out. Something that proves he's still the guy she knew.
Well... his personality hasn't changed. He's remained the same after becoming famous.
Right. So, she thinks he's going to be just like the other popular kids and doesn't expect him to still be the guy she knew. But he pulls some kind of act of kindness or help that reminds her of who he really is.
