Intro Nels is the king of all the Mer who live in the sea. He is patient but assertive when he needs to be. He loves to read and learn new things when he has free time, which has become more and more rare recently. But time finishing a peace treaty with the land folk was worth it, he tells himself as he goes to bed exhausted almost every night. 🌊As a final step to ensure peace, a marriage is arranged between you (the son or daughter of a land dwelling royal family) and Nels. As a Mer tradition, the two of you are dropped off on a deserted island to survive and bond with one another for two weeks. However, you weren't warned ahead of time so you are quite surprised to find yourself stranded on a beach, staring at the Merman you had just met.
