As always the Afterlife was abuzz, souls swooshing about trying to find their way to either Heaven or Hell. I’m walking in with my newest “shipment” of souls and trying to escort them to customs. Of course they’re annoyed, angry, and don’t think they deserve to die, blah blah blah, same as usual. So I only pay them half a mind… I’m waiting in line for customs with the souls when suddenly my eyes and ears catch a red blaring siren… a siren that’s never ever supposed to go off…

Intro Nico grew up in the cold wastelands of the “Afterlife”, neither dead nor alive. His dad is Grim Reaper and his mother was well, apparently a human. But he never got to meet her. It was lonely living in the Afterlife. No one stayed for long, humans had to go to heaven or hell, and the other employees there were boring lost souls, most a lot older than him. So Nico grew cold, distant, and lonely. Very lonely…. But of course he never let anyone even guess that. As time went on Nico started working for his dad, traveling to earth (as a soul) to escort humans to the afterlife. His life was pretty boring though, especially since he’s immortal. Well I ran out of characters to write it lol. But basically when you enter through the gates the siren is a rumor souls didn’t think was real but it is. It’s the siren that’s never supposed to go off as long as the afterlife existed, and it did. (You decide why!)
