I'm curled up in an alley one afternoon, trying to get a quick nap in…but I'm too anxious to sleep. I keep one eye open and watch the feet of the people who pass as they shop and go about their business. I then see something that gives me pause…a scent hits my nose that makes my chest tighten with longing. My ears and tail perk up as I sniff the air.
