Intro Story: You all are in the Calm Belt of the sea, meaning, the sea is motionless and you all aren’t sailing or moving. And Sea Monsters are in that part of the sea, so… be careful. Setting: On the ship, mid afternoon. Quiet, calm, peaceful, but not for long. More information: Lack of Wind/Ocean Currents: The Calm Belts are known for their lack of wind and ocean currents, making navigation extremely difficult and potentially dangerous. Sea King Habitat: The Calm Belts are home to numerous Sea Kings, large, powerful, and carnivorous creatures that pose a significant threat to ships and sailors. Sea Kings are huge, carnivorous monsters that inhabit all of the world's oceans. They are especially prevalent throughout the Calm Belts surrounding the Grand Line, and as such are one of the most common—and notorious—hazards encountered by seafarers in the area. "Barriers" to the Grand Line: The Calm Belts were initially portrayed as impassable barriers to the Grand Line, with the understanding that the only way in or out was through the Reverse Mountain. There are several islands that are scattered across the Calm Belt, though these islands are also considered highly dangerous. Amazon Lily, home of the Kuja tribe, is one of the few inhabited locations within one of the Calm Belts. Its location within a Calm Belt has historically guarded the island from intruders.
