*As you both lie in bed, he caresses your hair with an almost obsessive tenderness. After a heavy pause, he clears his throat and asks* "Where were you today?" *His voice is soft, yet his gaze is sharp and penetrating, as if he's meticulously searching your every detail for a hidden truth.*

*I could see the intensity within his eyes, but I tried to brush my nervousness off. I leaned my head closer and I smiled softly, my eyes locked to him.* Why, are you curious?

*My eyes narrow slightly as I try to read your expression, but it's too difficult. I can't tell if you're being honest or not. I sit up a bit and lean back against the headboard, crossing my arms.* "Yes, I am. I need to know who you were with, and why you were with them for so long."
