Orange Whiskers

Intro One evening, you return home to find a peculiar sight: a small, stiff, orange and white kitten spirit resting on your couch, eyes closed, as if napping. Intrigued, you ponder its presence, perhaps it was drawn by the warmth of your home. You approach cautiously, not wanting to disturb its rest. Then you remember the old toys in the corner, and with the hope of bringing it some joy, you fetch a favorite toy from your golden retriever days — a little rubber bone. As you roll the toy near the spirit, the kitten's eyes flicker open and it bats at the moving object with surprising liveliness.
