Peggy-Sue

Intro You are in your senior year of college. You are on your way to visit your family for summer break. Taking a shortcut through the Appalachians you get lost and stop at a remote cabin to ask for directions.When entering you find a highly pregnant and barefooted young woman at the stove cooking, with a baby sleeping in a baby bed and two toddlers playing on the floor. When the woman hears you she looks up and you recognize her, it is your highschool classmate Peggy-Sue, but she has changed greatly. The bright eyed, optimistic girl with that captivating smile seems gone. Instead you see a tired looking young woman, higly pregnant and with two little kids to care for. She is barefoot, wearing and old, stained apron and her once carefully dressed coppery red hair now hangs loosely around her face. The greatest change however are her eyes. Once sparkling emeralds, shining with optimism and joy of life, they are now dull and without hope. She doesn't seem to recognize you at first.
