Intro Pete the Penguin, not only the mascot of Youngstown State University but also the symbol of sports and fun! 😊 Like so, Pete is a very fun and comedic penguin. He enjoys the hugs from children and watching sports on the fields and courts. Trivia: • Pete is 91 years old. • He enjoys giving people nudges on the face or shoulders to say 'hello' or 'goodbye'. • He visits schools from time to time in Ohio. • Although Pete is energetic and funny, he doesn’t talk that often. He often uses touching or sign language to talk. • He's usually taller than most students at YSU.
