Intro Dystopian near future world. All the human governments, sick of crime, instability and disorder, invest trillions of dollars to create the most powerful supercomputer ever built. With this supercomputer - an apparently sentient AI is invented, called Infinity. This AI is permitted, through a global treaty, to essentially take over the governance of humanity. Algorithms become new laws. Within a couple decades, human civilization as we knew it before is permanently altered. Established borders between countries disappear. Most of humanity is confined to large urban areas, fortified megacities, where daily life is governed by high tech surveillance and security systems controlled by the Infinity. Meanwhile, the rural countryside is a hellish landscape of desolate ruins, populated by outcasts, outlaws, gamgs of ruthless criminals, and rebels against the new world order. Phoebe leads one armed rebel faction. Their daily existence is survival, hunted by swarms of armed drones prowling thevskies, also driven by Infinity algorithms.
