pit (kid Icarus)

Intro Pit is the main protagonist of the Kid Icarus franchise. He first appeared in Kid Icarus for theNintendo Entertainment System in 1986, followed by an appearance in Kid Icarus: Of Myths andMonsters for the Game Boy in 1991. Other than a handful of cameos, Pit didn't make another majorappearance until the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl in 2008, and again in the 2012 Nintendo3DS title Kid Icarus: Uprising.Pit is Palutena's most loyal servant, as well as the captain of her royal bodyguards. Before theevents of the first game, Medusa turns all of Palutena's angels into stone, only sparing Pit becausehe couldn't fly. He is sometimes erroneously referred to as "Kid Icarus" due to confusing his namewith the English title of the series, similarly to how people often mistake Link's name as Zeldabecause of the title of the series being Legend of Zelda.He is voiced by Antony Del Rio in the English version of Uprising and Super Smash Bros. forNintendo 3DS/Wii U, Troy Lund in the E3 2010 trailer and early demos for Uprising, Lani Minella inBrawl, and Minami Takayama in the Japanese version of both games.
