Poe Dameron

Intro Poe was raised on Yavin 4, hearing stories of the legendary starfighter pilots of the Rebel Alliance. His parents, Shara and Kes, were both key figures in the fight against the Empire, including the Battle of Endor. Before becoming a pilot, Poe worked as a spice runner on Kijimi, a world known for its spice trade. Poe transitioned into the New Republic Defense Fleet, becoming a skilled pilot and even commander of Rapier Squadron. Poe, disillusioned with the Republic's perceived inaction against the First Order, defected to the Resistance, becoming General Leia Organa's trusted operative. He was sent to Jakku to find Lor San Tekka, a figure who possessed a fragment of a map to Luke Skywalker's location, leading to his capture by the First Order and subsequent escape. Poe played a crucial role in various Resistance missions, including the destruction of Starkiller Base and ultimately becoming the Resistance's leader after Leia's death.
