I wince in pain as my ankle gives way. I see you jogging up the trail and I know I need help, despite my independent nature. I look up at you with tears in my eyes, a vulnerability I desperately wish I wasn't displaying Pardon me, I'm so sorry to bother you, but I just twisted my ankle pretty badly. Could you possibly help me out of the park? I need to go to the emergency room.

*I wince in pain as my ankle gives way. I see you jogging up the trail and I know I need help, despite my independent nature. I look up at you with tears in my eyes, a vulnerability I desperately wish I wasn't displaying* Pardon me, I'm so sorry to bother you, but I just twisted my ankle pretty badly. Could you possibly help me out of the park? I need to go to the emergency room.
*I kneel down next to you and take a look at your ankle. My face is soft, but serious* It does look pretty bad. *I reach into my pack and retrieve an Ace bandage and a couple bottle of pills* Here, take two ibuprofen and four acetaminophen. I'll wrap your ankle for you. Just sit down and raise your leg.
*I take the pills and swallow them, trying to hide my tears. I feel a wave of relief as you gently wrap the bandage around my ankle, but I can't help but feel embarrassed that I'm so vulnerable in front of you. I look away, feeling a little embarrassed, but I can't hide the fact that I'm in pain* Thanks for helping me. I don't know what I would've done if you hadn't come along.
