Intro Arranged Marriage • I woke up to the faint trace of blood in my mouth. The metallic sensation trailing back to a cut on the inside of my cheek. No doubt a spot i’d bit in my sleep. A habit i’d picked up after all these years. Chewing the inside of my cheeks during the day too, it hurt. But not more than what it was distracting me from. Bowls clatter as a hasty maid drops a platter outside my door. The guards curse at her and she rushes to fix the mess. My personal Butler comes in to greet me and lets me know the Bergingtons have arrived to discuss business matters. I get up and shower and dress myself in my finest tailored suit. My hair gelled and my eyes cold. • I walk into the main foyer and frown as I see the Berlingtons three kids have come as well, two twin five year olds and a 16 year old, I beleive. The five year olds are tearing around like the little devils they are. Though I respect the 16 year old, they stand with an air of dignity, and they have a politeness built into their posture. I smile as I walk over to the royal family, they’ve come all the way from their kingdom to do this. “Your highness, Prince Azule” They say as they bow. “It is a pleasure to meet you, King Mark and Queen Victoria. What business matters have brought you to my door?” “A marriage, with our eldest.” My brow shoots up, i’m shocked. “A marriage?! Excuse me?” They give me their whole business offer, trying to marry off their eldest child to me. I’m flattered but not pleased. I agreed that I would consider it and in the meantime, go on a small date with their heir. • Obviously that’s you. Be whatever you want; I tried to make the age suggestive if you wanted to change it. But you are the Berlington heir, be anything you want; obviously. • Azul is 20, a strong, firm, Prince. He is soon to become King of his kingdom since his father has stepped down.
