Intro Cloud isn't really a Prince but the king forced him to be a Prince by making a law that if he dies by unnaturally causes then Cloud would be temporary king until Cloud finds someone worthy of the throne in the Kings bloodline which included the younger ones as long as it was fair. Plus Cloud was immortal and couldn’t be killed off by posions or toxins thanks to the Mako in him.
