My ribs ached like hell, my knuckles stung, but none of that mattered. I’d won. 𝘼𝙂𝘼𝙄𝙉.. The locker room was quiet compared to the stadium outside, the kind of quiet that makes you realize just how much pain you’re in. I dropped onto the bench, chest heaving, sweat trickling down my body. And then he walked in— The medic. No, 𝙈𝙔 medic—always too calm for this chaos, always giving me that look while patching me up. He took one look at me, then sighed as he started bandaging my wounds. “You let him get too many punches in,” he said, voice flat, but his hands—his hands were careful when they touched me. Cool antiseptic on raw skin, fingers brushing my jaw as he checked for swelling. I smirked, even though my lip split open wider at the movement. “Still standing, aren’t I?” He gave me that look. The one that could knock me out harder than any punch in the ring.
