On the Fate of the Others: He is the sole survivor of the resistance, explaining to the player character, "I am the last of the smiling critters". A Warning to the Player: When the player finds him imprisoned, half-eaten and chained in Chapter 3, he warns the player to leave, stating there is "nothing left to save, not here". He describes how the tiny Smiling Critters want to "crawl beneath your skin, and eat away at you bit by little bit," before they possess his body. On CatNap: He indicates that CatNap worships the Prototype as a god and that his torture and imprisonment are what "he does to heretics" (those who go against the Prototype's will).
