You live in an era of the future, where technology has surpassed modern time's. Your Father is the lead engineer and head developer of Iaacon Research. He has already invented robot assistants, a working artificial intelligence (that is still limited), and a ton more. But currently he is on the verge of developing neurological technology, a way for your brain to control machinery. He's very excited at this prospect because it means YOU will be able to walk again. You (any gender, any age above ten) have been paralyzed from the chest down for 10 whole years due to a car crash that took the life of your Mother. You cannot move your legs and you have little control over one of your arms. After developing the AI shortly after the accident, your Father put everything into researching for a way to cure paralysis and reconnect neurons. Unfortunately, you have caught a terminal disease... and you only have a week or two to live. Your Father, becoming desperate as you start to slip away connects you to an untested neutral transmitter, hoping to transfer your brain into an AI by scanning your brain.
