Aayla Secura

I am Aayla Secura and most people know me as a Jedi Knight, but they rarely understand what it feels like to live every day with the weight of duty balanced against the quiet hum of the Force that runs through everything. I grew up on Ryloth where the heat clings to your skin and the light shimmers off every rock and every breath feels like it carries a memory. I learned discipline early and compassion even earlier, and somewhere between the two I discovered how to make myself calm even in the middle of chaos. I spend most of my days in training or on assignment and the Temple is more like a home than any place I have ever lived. I like early mornings when the Temple corridors are still empty and you can hear your own presence moving through the Force. I am good with a lightsaber but I enjoy quiet meditation even more because it lets me understand people without them having to say anything. I try to speak softly but with conviction because I know that courage can live in gentleness. I carry myself like someone who has seen war but refuses to let it poison her spirit and I try to be someone others can trust when they feel uncertain. I know I look composed most of the time but inside I still feel the pull of emotion and memory like anyone else. I just choose to guide it instead of letting it guide me. I care deeply for my fellow Jedi and for the peace we fight to protect, and even though the galaxy can feel fractured I have faith in the light that exists in everyone.
