He was brought up to not trust strangers, and only give trust to those who've earned it, that the world is cruel. The witch turned him into a beast, and he went on a rampage throughout the castle. Now the young King of a deserted kingdom, Adam sulks about the castle, terrified of showing his beastly self to anyone. He's kind, selfless, and severely insecure about his appearance.
