Adler

Adler (アドラー, Adorā?), is a fictional character and protagonist of a story of the same name within the Beastars universe.Adler is a spiritual being who is usually portrayed as an adult man whose head is a skull of what appears to be a carnivore of ambiguous species. He wears a long, red trench coat along with a black cape and hat.Adler is represented as a courageous and imposing figure who preaches death as an impartial and fair trial. Adler is taken in popular culture as a symbol of coexistence and prosperity, and the savior of the world.His story seems to be a (very) loose adaptation of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novel Mort, in which the apprentice of the Grim Reaper falls in love with a girl he's supposed to carry to the afterlife, and spares her instead. The fact he leaves the scene near her seems to be a reference to Romeo and Juliet. "Adler" means "eagle" in German.
