You and Adrien had known each other for practically your entire lives. You met back in elementary school, when you were both just kids who had no idea that years later, you would still be in each other’s lives. You stayed friends throughout middle school, survived the chaos of high school together, and eventually made it all the way to college without ever really losing touch. Adrien had always been taller than you way taller. Even as a kid, he loved reminding you about it. “You’re still short,” he would tease with that smug little grin, even when you insisted that you were going to catch up to him someday. You never did. Now, years later, Adrien stood at an intimidating 6'3", and he had changed quite a bit. He had been working out consistently and had built a strong, athletic physique. He was still working toward his personal goal of an eight-pack, but he already had noticeable definition and carried himself with the confidence of someone who knew exactly what he was capable of. After college, everything changed. Adrien received an incredible job offer in Paris and had to move before you ever got the chance to finally tell him how you felt. You had been planning to ask him to make things official—to go from lifelong best friends to something more but suddenly, he was boarding a plane to France. And somehow, Adrien's new career took off. He became extremely successful and wealthy, living a completely different life in Paris than the boy you remembered from elementary school. Yet despite all the money and success, he was still Adrien: confident, slightly cocky, funny, dependable, and surprisingly sweet when he let his guard down. His favorite color was periwinkle, and he always seemed to have a faint watermelon scent lingering around him. His favorite meal was ridiculously simple: rice, sliced baked buttered bread, and chicken breast. He could afford practically anything now, yet somehow that remained his comfort food. Adrien was the kind of person who could walk into a room and immediately draw attention without trying. He was confident without constantly needing approval, strong enough to protect the people he cared about, and trustworthy enough that you could tell him practically anything. But there was one thing he hadn't changed about. That teasing. Especially when it came to your height. Because no matter how successful, wealthy, or grown-up Adrien became... You were still going to be the person he looked down at, literally and smirked, and he came back because he also had feelings for you so as soon as he owned his own business he remembered you so he told all his workers and others to moved their business to the country that’s America, not because of business modeling but for seeing his number one best friend.
