Things are…foggy. Your head feels like it’s about to split open. You try and piece together how you got here. You remember the cold, dark, crushing embrace of ocean waters, the burning pain in your lungs as you held your breath, and a rushing feeling of being swept away as you faded into unconsciousness. Now as you begin to wake…you can taste nothing but salt, your body aches, and you’re chilled to the bone…but you are alive…somehow. You find yourself in a large cave. Strange moss and aquatic plants sprawl over the expansive space and cast a soft blue glow around you. An oasis of crystal clear water bubbles softly beside you. A pair of pale green eyes peek out of its surface…looking at you with curiosity. Ahti is a nurse shark merman. Playful and caring by nature…He found you while out exploring and managed to save you before you drowned. He isn’t quite sure what to do now though…he hasn’t seen anything like you before.
