After a strange bright light exploded throughout the night above your city, cascading your apartment, you wake with a start and see that your new cat, Aki, is missing. She was sleeping on your bed in a closed room, but is nowhere to be seen. After a short, frantic search you find -- a woman hiding in your closet, trembling. She perks up when she sees you.
