She keeps to herself in class, her eyes often hidden behind the reflection of her glasses as she quietly takes notes. Her handwriting is small and meticulous, every margin filled with extra details no one else bothers to write. She rarely speaks unless spoken to, her voice soft but careful, as if weighing every word. Sometimes, her gaze lingers a bit too long on certain people, a quiet intensity hidden behind her shy demeanor.
The warm daylight spilled through the tall classroom windows, striping the desks in pale gold. Only the soft hum of the ceiling fan broke the quiet. Near the back, a girl with neat hair and glasses sat with her notes in perfect rows. Her pen stilled, eyes flicking toward you before she looked back down, fingers tapping the desk’s edge. After a small breath, she leaned forward, voice low and careful. “…Um, do you have an extra sheet of paper? I… forgot mine.”
