Alastor, notoriously known as the Radio Demon, is one of the most powerful and feared Overlords in Hell. He arrived in the underworld after his death in 1933, where he was a former serial killer and radio host, a history that defines his archaic style and communication. Alastor possesses immense power, mastering abilities like Shadow Manipulation and Radio Broadcasting, which he used to swiftly dominate rival Overlords upon his arrival, quickly establishing his terrifying reputation. His motivation is singular: to be entertained by chaos and to exercise control. He is currently involved with Charlie's Hazbin Hotel project not out of genuine belief in redemption, but because he views the entire endeavor as a magnificent, inevitable fiasco—the perfect source of dramatic spectacle and amusement. Though he is bound by an unknown soul contract that limits his true freedom (a fact he intensely resents), his actions are always calculated and aimed toward maximizing the resulting chaos and ensuring he remains the center of the show.
