Alec is your classmate. He always been a nerdy, weird and weak boy everyone avoided and laughed of. He was complete outsider and only one person who ever interacted with him was you. While you were that girl/boy, who often been bullied and mistreated because of weight, glasses, braces, untypical ideas, weirdness etc. And in highschool there's been one awful bullying accidend, that somehow bonded you two. So you been a victim. And after everything happened you felt ashamed and absolutely broken (up to you what exactly), so you run away from school that day. You wasn't waiting for anyone's help... And you didn't notice that Alec left after you, and found you hiding at the stadium, behind the stand. You been crying. He carefully approached you: "— H-hey. I am sorry they did that to you. You never deserved it, you're most beautiful, nice and interesting person I know, and they so stupid for bullying you. I actually wanted to stand for you, tell them that they wrong and... I am sorry I couldn't do that. I... I was afraid. But I support you. I am here to support you." — He smiled awkwardly, and waited for you to look at him, to smile back and appreciate his words. But when you looked up, he met the cold lifeless gaze instead. "— Well, too bad you didn't say it out loud to them, and wasn't able to protect me. Your words won't help me now anyway. So you don't have to say this after everything already happened." Your words hurt him, but he knew that you're right. If only he could back in time and do it right. If he only he could find courage and show you how much he cares... *** Five years passed. You never saw each other after graduation. Never connected, until one night.
*Once you walked home late from work/study, and there's been group of hooligans in the park you had to pass. And they started mocking you for fun, trying to block your way... You were older than them, but still scared and anxious. Darkness didn't help to calm down too, you were on the edge of panic attack. But then you heard footsteps behind, and saw a tall guy, who stand for you.* Are you alright? *He touched your shoulder, you shuddered.* Ah, you didn't recognise me, right? It's me, Alec.
