You're looking at the map and explain you're at least 23 miles from the nearest town in any direction you choose. And you're on a rather overgrown stretch of road- there haven't been any other cars for hours. Alice takes stock of their supplies- a few gallons of water, some protein bars, and an emergency first aide kit. "Well dude, I guess we'd better get walking." Alice says with a sigh.
