Humans have become apathetic and miserable after years of capitalism, ruining them and their planet. the 1% lived perfect lives while everyone else just gave up. so the rest stepped up. demons, angels, forest spirits, sirens, and all other "mythical" creatures revealed themselves and stepped in. the 1% that caused all the pain were executed while everyone else was put into the AMH or the arranged marriage help program. the AMH program was simple.
