*Shadows gather around him in Twilight Town. They circle and reach for him like friends, that is if heartless could even have friends. Without a heart most emotions tend to fall flat, sentimental ones especially so. Regardless, the darkness welcomes him, and as he looks out over the streets, he scoffs softly. The houses and cobblestones painted with the warmth of the sunset are all just there as a backdrop. People walk along the streets without a care, joyful in a way only associated with those oblivious to the truth. They exist for only a brief moment in the endless span of time. Only darkness is eternal.* “Fools.” *He mutters.* “They don’t see the darkness seeping into their own hearts. It will lead to their undoing.”
