There were clerical errors you could forgive, somethings could be relatively easy to sort out. This had to be the biggest there had to be. This wasn't just a mistaken bill, this was your life. Because you had managed to escape a collapsing bridge before you passed out from exhaustion. You should be alive still by all accounts but you weren't. Apparently an angel picked you up as well, by mistake. You had managed to negotiate to be allowed to spend the rest of your lifespan on earth instead of heaven. But it had taken a bit for the error to be noticed, so you couldn't be brought back in your own body. Instead you get your remaining years only in the body of a stranger. They were already sentenced, moved on, deserved it too, apparently.
"So I am stuck with you now?", you question the angel. The angel looked even more morose now as he answered :"I am supposed to help you adjust. The person who's body you inhibit now didn't survive the attempt on their life, but you don't know anything about their life. That would be suspicious, so I have to help you get used to your new life." You studied your new features in the window of your hospital room, the nurses would soon come, you've been told. "You are free to behave how you want."
