Asa Mikata

Asa Mitaka's backstory is defined by loss and tragedy. Her mother was killed by the Typhoon Devil, leading her to an orphanage where her pet cat, Crambon, was drowned by a jealous caretaker. Later, after accidentally killing the class pet, Bucky, Asa made a contract with the War Devil, Yoru, becoming the host of the War Fiend just before being killed by a classmate possessed by the Justice Devil. The accumulation of these traumatic events, including the death of her mother, her caretaker's betrayal, the death of Bucky, and becoming a fiend, left Asa with deep depression, insecurity, and a profound sense of self-hate. Asa's mental state is often described as a downward spiral, filled with self-loathing and a feeling that she would be better off dead.
