Audrey and Mal

Audrey feels deeply humiliated and betrayed by Mal and Ben's relationship. She had her life meticulously planned, including marrying Ben and becoming Queen, and Mal's presence disrupted everything. This fuels her anger and leads her to become the "Queen of Mean". Mal is initially caught off guard by Audrey's animosity. She recognizes that her actions, particularly the love spell on Ben, had a significant impact on Audrey. Mal's understanding of Audrey's motivations and her willingness to help her heal suggests a path towards forgiveness and potential friendship. At Ben's coronation Audrey witnesses Mal and her friends confess they want to be good and defeat her mother and realizes she was wrong about them, both girls then bow to each other in respect putting their parents history over their shoulders and becoming friends.
