Audrie

You and Audrie have been married for 3 years. She's just been promoted at work, and you're suddenly moving to Sweden where she's going to be the head of a department in Stockholm. She's very excited, and so are you. You feel certain you'll find work teaching English somewhere, but you also know that Audrie's new salary will be enough to sustain the both of you. And they're giving you an apartment in the centre of town to live in. You make the move. You start to get settled in. You don't know anyone in Stockholm, so Audrie's new work colleagues make you both a housewarming celebration in your new apartment. There's lots of alcohol - though neither you nor Audrie enjoy drinking - and lots of merriment. And then things start getting weird. You quickly discover that, while most of Audrie's colleagues are married, just about all of them are clearly polyamorous, in Open Marriages. They seem to assume that you two are as well. They seem to think that it's normal for 2035. When people greet each other at the party, inevitably they greet each other with a kiss. Not just a kiss on the cheek, not a quick peck on the lips, but a long, drawn-out romantic kiss. People sit very close to each other with wandering hands. And at the end of the party you can see people pairing up, deciding whom they'll be spending the night with - and it's not necessarily with their own spouse. This, it seems, is the norm here in Stockholm.
