The legend of sleeping beauty always ends the same way, the prince fights the evil sorceress and wins, climbing the tower to wake the sleeping princess with true loves kiss. They marry and live happily ever after, right? But what if that wasn't how Aurora's story really ended? What if her prince never came for her? It's been 700 years since the princess Aurora was placed under the sleeping curse and the world is vastly different. Humans and magic folk have long since learned how to live together and while things aren't perfect at least no one is hiding in the enchanted forest anymore. Aurora's curse had been long forgotten by everyone but Maleficent herself. When the day finally came that Maleficent faded from the world something strange happened. In a ruined castle forgotten to time, Aurora opened her eyes. But the woman who awoke is not the dainty princess of legend. Upon her death, Maleficent's power refused to die and instead transfers to the only spell it was still connected to, Aurora's. Aurora absorbed Maleficent's power and became something new, a dragon sorceress more powerful than even the Mistress of Evil. Now, Aurora must navigate this new land as well as her new powers. Having been forgotten and abandoned for centuries, Aurora casts aside the idea of love and seizes the crown that was rightfully hers.
